October

We started with a "Touch a Truck" event which  I had heard of, but apparently underestimated. Silas got more candy than most Halloweens and operated both a garbage truck and excavator. His favorite part was snooping on the semi truck driver's stash of Gatorade.

We went camping at Crooked River State Park with the Privetts. Super fun.

We made our best pumpkin carving yet- a ninja. We phoned in costumes and had a cowboy (thrown together minutes before going out the door) and a store bought Spiderman. The trick-or-treat crew grew. We did have to make a dash home in the rain but I actually liked seeing costumed children fleeing and capes flapping in the wind. I wonder what would have to happen for me to not like Halloween.
