June

Went to Dallas for Hannah's graduation. I am excited to be able to see her swim at Georgia Southern next year!

Summer break is here!! This is Silas's ALERT class. There were no official class pictures this year, so this is as good as it gets. I can't actually enter daycare so I sent my camera in for Ms. Asia to take a picture of Rory with Ms. Tanyua. I am judging her work. We got in to the district preschool for next year. Rory won't be at the same school as Silas, but we can't pass up free even though we have no idea what we will do for pick-up if Daron ever has to report back to the office. I feel a little sad to quit Living Springs a year short.

We were thinking about getting a pool membership for the summer but I figured I would have to go the public pool 60 times to make it worthwhile. Besides, nothing about me really screams country club. There is a fun pool with a kiddie area and slides but nothing is ever open due to staffing. We are much bigger fans of the giant pool with no amenities. I mean who needs a diving board...or umbrellas...or stairs to get in?

The Williamson's visited and we went to our first (and potentially only) Fireflies game of the year.

We are doing karate again. Rory hated it at first but has come around. I am obsessed with the awesomeness of the teachers.

We got a butterfly kit which came with the "baby" caterpillars dead or already in chrysalis form. Still we got to release 3 painted ladies.

We met up with Daron's cousin Anne and Milo and Clark for a day at the Greenville Children's Museum.

We are back to playdates with our buddies Lucas and Lilly. Now if we can only stop breaking all their toys.

I will end with this poolside dinner on a lovely summer evening. We wrap up the month in Missouri. I counted it up and I have the next 5 weeks with absolutely nothing on the calendar that I do not want to do! Bliss!

Rory's Birthday

We had our first swim of the summer to celebrate. He got squirt guns, a journal (to be like brother), and superheroes that switch body parts.

Then we had a family dino party on Saturday.
