Turning 40 was totally worth this!

 

My mom, sister, and Shelly surprised me at Julianna's for my birthday. Literally the best day ever!

Here are the kids' adorable teachers. I am feeling much less blah about school as I am settling in. I do have 3 back to back to back field studies coming up that are 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM which may have me back to scowly.

We stayed a weekend in the mountains with Daron's family and it was amazing. Our cabins were right on the cutest babbling brook. The grandparents hid arrowheads on the bank and then it rained a lot so we all had fun hunting for those. We tubed down a river, did some lazy hiking, and went to Smokey Mountain National Park. I could literally spend my whole life playing in a creek.

 

I am loving this phase of coming into my room to see things like this left for me. Also, we got bunk beds.

August

Back to school is the only real happening around here. Rory doesn't want to go most days, but does, and comes home happy. I think Silas is liking it and not sad at the change, so that makes me feel less guilty.
