This kid is 9! 💖We did a Lego Masters celebration. I divided the guests up into six teams of 2. First they made their minifigure representatives and then we began the competition. Here are the teams.
The first challenge was called Mystery Mini, They had to use 20 pieces or less to create the most detailed and recognizable thing then could. Kind of like Lego Pictionary.
The next challenge was Monochrome Madness. They drew for a letter, colors, and category and had to make something in their category that started with their letter with only 2 colors.
The last challenge was called Fashion Show and they had to make a wearable accessory to model.
After each round all the grown-ups voted for their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place choices. After a running total of points from votes, the top 2 teams got to go to the finals where they competed individually for the the title of Lego Master. The four finalists all got the same Lego set and could use the pieces to make anything but what the kit was supposed to be. Everyone did amazing. Logan made a monster, Lizzy made an alien, Asher made a snake, and Rory made a crab. In the end we crowned Asher as our Lego Master!
I am always impressed by these kids, jumping in with whatever I make them do and getting along and being happy for whoever wins. I am impressed by the grown ups too putting up with a crowded house and small talk and the heat all for a few slices of Dominos. I never feel more loved than after a party where people show up for my kids! I have a great clan! Thanks everyone! Happy birthday, Rory! You got your moon shoes!
